French Onion Soup Recipe by: Jean Stevens - Idaho 6 medium-size onions, sliced Sauté onions in butter or margarine in large saucepan until lightly brown. Add beef broth; cover; cook about 15 to 20 minutes or until onions are tender. Add salt. To serve, bring soup to boiling; ladle into soup cups or bowls.
